Built on Mount Tomi, this ancient shrine has a history stretching back two millennia.

Studded with over 160 stone lanterns, lion-dog statues, and other stone fixtures, the spacious grounds also house seven different auxiliary shrines including Kamitsuo Sha Shrine and Shimotsuo Sha Shrine, creating a grand and spiritual locale.

It’s also known for its autumn foliage, with illuminations in place come late November.
