- Walk to Abe Monjuin Temple

- Pay the admission fee and enter the main hall.
You’ll have a chance to be treated to matcha green tea and Japanese sweets in the atmospheric main hall.

- Be awed at the powerful presence of the Buddha statue, a national treasure.
There is other precious Buddhist iconography here as well, so make sure to have a careful look.

- Sign up for the Shichimairi (“seven worships”) at Kinkaku Ukimido Floating Pavilion.
Fill your heart with a prayer of “May I be spared of...,” and make a circuit around the pavilion,
inserting one of the tags you received for each full circuit. Once you’ve gone around 7 times, you’re done.
Head into the pavilion to see the Buddha statue.Don’t forget to check out the Monjuin Nishi Kofun(Western Burial Mound and viewing platform).
